Eastern Directorate

Identity: Technology, automation, and industrial production
Flag symbolism: Core and signal lines.
Core values: Technology · Production · Order.

The Eastern Directorate is a successor bloc formed from surviving East Asian governments, industrial conglomerates, research institutions, and automated infrastructure authorities. Its cities depend on precise logistics and coordinated production.

Ambition: Develop more efficient ember technology and build a new generation of industrial reactors.

Weakness: Complex systems are vulnerable to disruptions and the loss of critical junctions.

Transit network: Operates advanced rail systems, automated depots, and high-capacity manufacturing corridors.

The Directorate believes humanity can survive by replacing political chaos with carefully engineered systems. Individual freedom is often sacrificed for collective efficiency.

Story hooks

• A shipment of embers fails to arrive at a station the faction depends on.
• A recovered component from the Great Forge could shift the balance of power.
• A railway junction becomes contested, forcing the faction to choose between negotiation and force.
