Iron Compact

Identity: Industry, manufacturing, and resource extraction
Flag symbolism: Crossed tools and ember.
Core values: Industry · Resources · Manufacturing.

The Iron Compact is a coalition of mining companies, manufacturers, energy producers, and industrial unions. It operates foundries, mines, freight yards, and ember-processing plants.

Ambition: Become indispensable to reconstruction and secure control over critical manufacturing.

Weakness: Factories require continuous supplies of raw materials, embers, and specialist components.

Transit network: Controls industrial sidings, freight junctions, and routes connecting mines to factories.

The Compact sells to almost everyone, including rival governments. It prefers economic leverage to territorial conquest.

Story hooks

• A shipment of embers fails to arrive at a station the faction depends on.
• A recovered component from the Great Forge could shift the balance of power.
• A railway junction becomes contested, forcing the faction to choose between negotiation and force.
