Meridian League
Identity: African federation, energy resilience, and regional cooperation
Flag symbolism: Rising sun and rail lines.
Core values: Regional Cooperation · Resilience.
The Meridian League formed from surviving African governments, energy networks, engineering communities, and trade authorities. It is a federation built around the principle that no one state could survive the winter alone.
Its engineers specialize in modular heating systems, underground agriculture, and distributed energy. Some settlements benefit from natural heat, while regional authorities maintain alternative routes and emergency depots.
Ambition: Build independent heat centers across Africa and become a major power in global reconstruction.
Weakness: Regional leaders disagree over resource allocation and how involved the League should become in the struggle for the Great Forge.
Transit network: Maintains major trade routes and alternative supply systems, reducing dependence on any single corridor.
The League can survive some disruptions that would cripple other powers, but still needs the network for large-scale trade and advanced technology.
